This course analyzed the basic techniques for the efficient numerical solution of problems in science and engineering. Topics spanned root finding, interpolation, approximation of functions, integration, differential equations, direct and iterative methods in linear algebra.

- Perceive computer programming as basic and for most computer science implementation & verification tool and design algorithms to solve simple problems.
- Construct computer programs for known numerical methods like root finding, interpolation, differentiation, integration and solution of linear systems and ordinary differential equations.
